Felix Lee was born on the planet Gan Singh in the midst of the 4th Succession War. His father, an infantryman with House Kamata, was killed in that war. Although he came from a military family long loyal to the Capellan Confederation, Lee rejected all of the major powers. When he turned 18, he made his way to Outreach where he signed on as an infantry grunt for a variety of mercenary groups over the years. In 3059, he helped start the infantry-only mercenary group Vlad’s Volunteers with his close friend Vlad Rostok. He served as XO for the unit.
The Volunteers served primarily in the Chaos March where they gained experience in anti-insurgency operations, not to mention a tough edge. Their most prestigious assignment was their participation in GM’s conquest of Acamar in 3061. The outbreak of the Jihad limited employment opportunities and, in 3068, the Volunteers were forced to take a sketchy contract for an objective raid on Gienah with an assorted group of mercenary commands. It turned out to be a disastrous decision. The Volunteers were split into two groups to meet their objectives and the failure of their allied mercenary groups to provide support led to the complete destruction of Rostok’s command, including the mercenary commander’s own death. Lee’s command was assigned to operate with the Flaming Devil Monkeys and Hal’s Heinous Halberds, and although they took significant casualties, were able to meet their objectives. When it became clear that outbound transit was not forthcoming, Lee made an offer to join the Monkeys, merging the remains of his unit into the Monkeys small infantry support group.
Lee is an experienced, hardened commander but he is also world-weary from decades of hard fighting that have seen him lose many comrades. He is secretly grateful to be off of the front lines and providing lower intensity security support for the Monkeys. His relationship with Lt. Wilhelm of the Ghost Monkeys has been tense. He finds her insubordinate and reckless and has filed his complaints with Commander Bane.
Lee’s command squad typically operates as a Heavy MG platoon. Like the Guard Monkeys, his squad also has access to a Rock Rover Half Track for increased mobility in the field.
